The escape1800 replaced my 38 year old steel wood stove. Iāve had it for 2 weeks now. Nite time in the 9-11 degree . Early mornings 20ās and day time highs 40ās. It performs extremely well. Took a bit to get used to 2 nd burn technology. I heat a large area 1500 sq ft plus. It does a very good job I recommend a blower to move the heat around. For its 75000 BTU rating its a HEAT MONSTER. Excellent service and great price . Its 5 stars in my book.
Retired my old wood stove after 38 years. Iāve had the Drolet 1800 on legs in use for 2 weeks now. Morning temperature hover around 9-11 degrees. Daytine in the 30ās and nights low 20ās. Its a real HEAT MONSTER. After 8 hr burn overnite my stove is still 150-200 degrees. Couple of small pieces of wood and away we go. A good sized firebox. Actually 21 inch wood fits. My only suggestion is if you want to move the heat around more invest in the optional blower. Fantastic stove at a GREAT price. And excellent customer service my stove was out of stock and customer service kept me up to date on delivery.
